Scalding and Dehairing

Scalding and dehairing processes remove bristles to reduce the risk of microbial contamination, ensuring the clean line remains in excellent hygienic conditions.

  • We provide highly efficient hair removal equipment for our customers. This equipment features a high degree of automation, thorough hair removal and will ensure pig carcass surfaces remain clean.
  • We provide customized scalding and dehairing machines integrating the processes of hot water spraying and dehairing to significantly improve working efficiency and reduce dehairing time. This machine is ideal for slaughterhouses in locations where the weather is often very hot.
  • Clean water pool are used to cool the pig carcasses after scalding and dehairing using cold or ice water, preventing the pork offal from spoiling.

    2. Scalding Tank Our scalding tank will scald more than 300 pigs/hour using a convection device to ensure continuous water circulation. The water temperature is thermostatically controlled at 60℃±2℃. Each pig carcass needs 4-6 minutes for a full scalding to ensure an easy, thorough bristle removal.

    2. Scalding Machine — Water Spray The scalding machine with a water spray is designed to scald pigs hanging on an automatic line with no decoupling or line stopping, ensuring a continuous production.

    2. Scalding Machine —Steam Spray This steam spray scalding machine uses saturated vapor to finish the scalding process before dehairing. This equipment saves more than 90% of water and 30% of vapor compared to other equipment, giving it a better energy saving performance.

    2. Spiral Dehairing The spiral dehairing machine features a production capacity of dehairing 400 to 500 pigs/hour with a more than 98% bristle removal rate. The dehairing process will not break ribs or damage pig carcass subcutaneous tissues.

    2. Singeing Oven The singeing oven uses flames to singe off residual bristles on the pig carcass after a dehairing process. This also ensures sterilization of the carcass.
